Alambrado Malbec Tempranillo 2017 - Simon's Wine of the
Mendoza, Argentina 14% abv
Was £12.99 Now £10.99
Rich & fruity, Alambrado is from Familia Zuccardi, one of
the finest cellars in all Argentina. The grapes are grown
organically, and the resulting wine is suitable for Vegans. It's
mouth filling with juicy fruit flavours, hints of spice and a long
finish. A great partner to roast lamb, peppered steak or a hearty
Vinho Regional de Lisboa, Portugal 12.5%
Made by one of Portugal's best-known winemakers, José Nieva,
Brigando is a sumptuous blend of 3 different grapes. Spicy Shiraz,
silky, strawberry scented Tinta Roriz and deep dark Touriga
Naçional. All three combine to give a wine with blackberry,
raspberry and lots of liquorice and spice. Serve on its own or with
grilled red meats, a casserole or steak pie.
Yarrunga Field Special Reserve 2018
New South Wales, Australia 12% abv
Once described by Oz Clarke as 'Aussie sunshine in a glass',
Yarrunga Field is our best-selling white from Down Under. Creamy,
ripe and medium bodied with a lovely, clean, fresh finish it's the
perfect everyday wine. At 12% this wine makes a terrific glassful
anytime, with or without food, at a party or in the garden.
Stonewall Sauvignon Blanc 2018
Marlborough, New Zealand 9.5% abv
Dr John Forrest's 9.5% Vol Stonewall Sauvignon Blanc was
ground-breaking two years back and still leads the field. He found
a way to ripen grapes while keeping natural sugar levels (and so
alcohol) lower. Classic, fresh and lingering, this could be the
future of Marlborough Sauvignon. A thoroughly refreshing glass solo
and partner to seafood, exotic salads or goat's cheese.
