REBELLION SHOP BACK OPEN

REBELLION SHOP TO RE-OPEN ON MONDAY 21st SEPTEMBER
We are pleased to announce that after several months our shop
will be re-opening on Monday 21st September.
We've been busy cleaning and getting everything ready for you
and are very much looking forward to having visitors again.
There are a couple of changes since we closed, we have a new
beer tasting policy and have also introduced some COVID control
rules. These will both be explained below.
New Beer
Tasting Policy

We are very sorry to announce that we will be ceasing to offer
free pints of beer from our brewery shop. We are committed to you
being able to try all our beers so you will be able to come to the
tasting bar in the shop and try any of our beers in 100ml
tasters.
There are several reasons behind this major policy change:
History
Many years ago we started allowing customers the option of trying
beer for free within our shop. In recent times this has become a
central theme of the shop and increasingly popular.
In the 12 months pre COVID we had become worried about the amount
of beer we were giving away and its impact on the profitability of
the business. We were also aware of the impact free sampling was
having on our shop and its ability to run effectively, as well as
causing us severe car parking issues on a regular basis.
COVID Impact
When COVID hit we lost 80% of our entire business and this is
having a significant ongoing effect on the businesses
profitability. Even with the pub trade re-opening up we are still
very nervous as to the future and ongoing profitability of our
sector.
As a consequence of the above concerns, we have reluctantly come
to the decision that we can now no longer afford the free samples
option. Whilst we appreciate this is a major change in policy, we
hope you will understand our reasoning behind the change. You will
still be able to try all the beers from our tasting counter in the
shop and as ever we would really value your feedback on the
beers.
Future...Rebellion Tap
Room
We have always enjoyed the buzz of the site when busy and would
like this to continue in the future, however in a somewhat more
manageable way. Consequently, we will be looking to introduce a
Brewery Taproom, which will be attached to the shop. We are not in
a position to do this currently but please watch this space as our
plans develop.
When we do open the taproom, we will be introducing a customer
loyalty program that will run in tandem with our membership scheme
and offer benefits that will be redeemable in the taproom.
Apologies once more for this change and we hope you understand our
reasoning behind the decision and continue to support us moving
forward.
Our ultimate aim is to provide amazing beer and service to our
customers and we need a viable business to continue to do this in
the future.
Shop Opening times
Current shop opening times are as follows:
