Danaris Gruner Veltliner 2017
Niederosterreich, Austria, 12% abv
This wine is from a small winery in Krems, where the soil is
rich with clay and limestone. The grapes are then slightly pressed
giving a delicate flavour. This Austrian classic is full of green
apple and white pepper making it an ideal pairing with Asian food
and grilled fish.
Ascencion Torrontes 2017
Salta, Argentina, 13% abv
This wine comes from the highest vineyard in the world, 1700m
above sea level resulting in a floral, crisp and fresh wine. You
can expect to taste crisp lime with a hint of spice. This is lovely
as an aperitif but also alongside fish.
Stonewall Sauvignon Blanc 2016
Marlborough, New Zealand, 9.5% abv
Was £12.49 Now £11.49
The grapes have ripened just enough to have a lower level of
natural sugar. This means the alcohol consumption is lower. The
wines from this vineyard are also sustainably grown and full in
flavour giving a crisp gooseberry and elderflower taste. Perfect
with goats' cheese and seafood.
Monte delle Vigne Lambrusco Selezione 2016
Lambrusco IGT, Italy, 11.5% abv
Having a sparkling red may seem a tad confusing but it will
change the way you think. Its full of rich berry and balsamic
cherry balanced with a little acidity. This Lambrusco has a
delicate amount of fizz making it a perfect match for sticky
grilled chicken dishes.
South Australia, 14% abv
Was £12.99 Now £11.99
Expect to taste cherry's and chalky cocoa chocolate tannins. It
also has a decent amount of acidity giving a longer finish. This is
a brilliant match for lamb, game and pasta dishes with tomato
Westend Estate Barrel Bandit 2016
Riverina, Australia, 14.5%
When you think of Australia, you think BIG, RED, SHIRAZ. You
don't always think of Durif. But pairing the two together results
in a dark, intense spicy balanced finish. Ideal with red meat.
