Purple Owl Pinot Noir 2016
California, USA 13.5% abv
A welcome return for one of our favourite wines of 2017. Purple
Owl is no ordinary Pinot Noir. The grapes for this juicy red are
sourced from only the finest vineyards on California's Central
Coast. It has layers of vibrant cherry and raspberry fruit flavours
and a lovely silky texture too. Try with chicken in red wine sauce
or your favourite cheeses.
Castillo Armado 2009
Valdepeñas, Spain 13% abv
This great value Spanish Reserva is from Valdepeñas, a region
renowned for top notch wines since the 13th century. Made from

in American oak, this 2009 is smooth and rich.
Soft and silky with raspberry and cherry fruit and vanilla spice
flavours, it's a richly flavoured red with great complexity.
Matured for three years in oak, this red is a real treat with roast
pork, wild boar sausages or cured meats.

Marlborough, New Zealand 13% abv

freshness with bright stone fruits, a hint of guava and a bright
