Flagstone Estates Dragon Tree 2015
Western Cape, South Africa 14.5% abv
This warm and rich ruby red wine is made from a blend of 10
carefully selected grape varieties. It has wonderful aromas of rich
dark fruit, cedar and mint. The wine is well balanced on the palate
showing fresh and crisp acidity. The middle palate shows an
explosion of fruit, leaving a lingering aftertaste. Absolutely
perfect with roast lamb and rich game dishes.
Stellenrust Lucky No. 7 2010
Stellenbosch, South Africa 16% abv
£15.99 (50cl bottle)
At 16% vol, this intensely rich Rare Series Shiraz dwarfs even
so-called Big Reds. It is made in tiny quantities at the
Stellenrust estate, one of the most important family wineries in
South Africa and with a reputation for seriously top-notch reds.
With an explosion of Christmas cake and marzipan aromas it's
port-like in character with brooding cherry, pepper and violet
This wine is delicious with dark, chocolatey desserts.
Bon Courage Colombard 2017
Robertson, South Africa 12.5% abv
If you're looking for a 'stand by' white to keep in your fridge,
you can't go wrong with this. Fresh, lifted and bursting with
citrus character, it's a mouth-watering Sauvignon alternative if
you're looking for something a bit different. This crisp
Colombard won't fail to satisfy in the refreshment stakes either.
Night harvesting ensures optimum crispness while a long, cold
fermentation locks in the zingy apple and citrus.
An ideal aperitif or partner to canapés.
Stumble Vineyards Cinsault Rosé
Western Cape, South Africa 13% abv
One of our top South African pinks. It's pure Cinsault,
one of the two 'parent' grapes of the Cape's most famous variety,
Pinotage. Cinsault excels in the climate, as you'll discover in
this vibrant, strawberry fresh rosé. It's crisp and
refreshing, with upfront berry fruit kept fresh with balanced,
mouth-watering acidity. It will remind you of summer all year
Definitely one to enjoy well chilled, either as an apéritif or
with light snacks or chicken.
