Santa Julia Malbec 2017
Mendoza, Argentina 13% abv
Rrp £11.99 Now £9.99
Malbec and Argentina - a marriage made in heaven for wine
lovers. No other country makes such a seductive style, and few
cellars excel so consistently as Familia Zuccardi of Santa Julia.
The 2017 vintage is a smooth, easy going and fruit filled red made
for everyday enjoyment right now. Enjoy this elegant, silky Malbec
with grilled red meats or roast beef.
Rocksand Shiraz 2016
Setubal, Portugal 14.5% abv
This luxurious Shiraz based red is a skilful blend of two spicy
powerful grapes packed with plenty of Portuguese heat and smoothed
by the freshness of cool Atlantic nights. It's a marriage of
lovable Shiraz and local Alicante and has sensational dark fruit
with a lift of earth and spiciness, which make it a fine treat to
serve with spicy chorizo sausages or a game casserole.
Penfold's Father Grand Tawny
South Australia 18.5% abv
If you're a fan of tawny ports you simply have to try a fine
Australian version too and there is no better place to start than
with Penfolds Father Grand Tawny.
A sumptuous fortified wine of great smoothness and complex
nutty, raisiny fruit. The harmonious flavour and textures make this
arguably the most elegant of the Penfolds tawny portfolio. It is
recommended with cheese, or with Christmas pudding and custard or
brandy butter, and may be served slightly chilled.
NEW! Charles Back Sauvignon Blanc 2015
Darling, South Africa 13.5% abv
Charles Back has an instinct for which grapes will grow best
where and a knack for experimentation. The Darling region is known
for producing stellar Sauvignon Blancs thanks to its proximity to
the Atlantic and the vineyards' elevation, particularly in the
Groenekloof ward. This delicious Sauvignon has immediate freshness
followed by ripe nuances of tropical fruit. It marries especially
well with pan-fried fish, salads or aromatic prawn stir-fry.
