Cleanskin Sauvignon Blanc 2017
Adelaide Hills, Australia 11% abv
£10.99 (Rrp £13.99)
When it comes to mouthwatering Aussie Sauvignon, few regions
compare to the Adelaide Hills. They are home to Australia's
"winemaking royalty". You'll notice it's a 'cleanskin' - in other
words the estate did not put their own label on the bottle. Why?
Because they sold a few cases at well below the going rate (to
shift stock) and they wouldn't want regular customers finding out.
So bag yourself a bargain.
Brigando Rosé 2017
Lisbon, Portugal 11.5% abv
For fans of top quality wines offering great value for money,
Portugal is a happy hunting ground. This fresh fruity pink is from
one of the top names in Portuguese wine, José Neiva. In this
mouthwatering pink he uses ripe, juicy Touriga Nacional (the same
grape used for making Port) for its unmatchable summer fruit
Perfect for picnics, with cold meats, chicken, veggie kebabs and
so much more.
Tenuta Fenice 2017
Sicily 13.5% abv
This is a sumptuously rich, blackberry and spice red using
Sicily's prized Nero d'Avola. Not only that, it's from one of the
island's highest, oldest vineyards.
Neglected since the earthquake of 1968, it's been lovingly
restored and grows top grapes. Velvety and dense with vibrant
cherry and berry and rich spice it's a wine that goes well with
rich pasta dishes.
Grand Réserve de Gassac 2016
Pays d'Herault, France 13.5% abv
Made with a blend of Cabernet, Syrah, Merlot and Grenache grown
in the tiny village of Villeveyrac in the South of France. The soil
is so well drained that the vine roots must grow deep down to find
nourishment and moisture, promoting unique aromas and flavours in
the grapes. The wine is luscious, with ripe blackberry flavours and
a deep chocolate earthiness. Perfect with garlicky roast lamb or
