select wines from our range for you to discover.
It's a casual tasting, no pressure and not guided so you can try
whilst browsing the shop. If you needed to know more, our
knowledgeable wine staff will be on hand to offer advice.
Samples will be available from 10am to 5pm each Saturday.
The House of Fun Shiraz Malbec 2018
Western Cape, South Africa 14% abv
This luscious combo of spicy Shiraz and blackberry rich Malbec
is full of smooth fruity fun. It's a new release from the Gabb
family's Mount Rozier estate in premium Stellenbosch. A gorgeously
moreish red, with juicy ripe fruit and freshness.
Domaine les Cassanets 2017
Côtes du Rhône, France 14.5% abv
Labelled humble Côtes du Rhône, the domaine is in fact within
Châteauneuf du Pape but century old politics prevent it from being
upgraded. Same grapes, same terroir same style of wine. It's
big, rich and spicy - the only giveaway that this isn't Châteauneuf
is the price. Decant early and serve with roast lamb or
Roche Lacour 2016
Crémant de Limoux, France 12.5% abv
A great value alternative to Champagne, this fantastic fizz was
an instant hit upon its release a quarter of a century ago.
It is made in Limoux using the same techniques as Champagne
for fine bubbles, zippy lemon flavours and an elegant finish.
Bon Courage Estate 2017
Robertson, South Africa 12.5% abv
Located approximately 60 miles East of Stellenbosch, Robertson
is one of South Africa's premium wine regions renowned for ripe
reds and crisp dry
If you're looking for a 'stand by' white to keep in your fridge,
you can't go wrong with this. Fresh, lifted and bursting with
citrus character, it's a mouthwatering Sauvignon alternative if you
want to try something a bit different.
