The Gooseberry Bush 2019
Robertson, South Africa 11% abv
£10.99

Bon Courage is one of Robertson's most highly acclaimed wineries and Gooseberry Bush has a hugely loyal following. It's easy to see why it has been a customer favourite for years now.

It's very refreshing with exuberant aromas of kiwi fruit, cut grass and gooseberries which are typical of the Colombard and Sauvignon Blanc grapes used in this wine.

Great with seafood, crisp salads, pasta and veggie based dishes.

Viňa Tarapacá  Sauvignon Blanc 2019
Central Valley, Chile 12.5% abv
£9.99

Founded in 1874, Viňa Tarapacá is one of Chile's most historic vineyards. They are rightly proud of their Bio diversity and ecological credentials, going as far as having their on mini hydro electric turbine to produce electricity for the winery. The wine is crafted by top winemaker Sebastián Ruiz Flaño. Powerfully aromatic with rich citrus intensity, it's a most refreshing apéritif and suits spicy fish dishes and Far Eastern cuisine.

Heredad Chavarri Albariňo 2018
Rías Baixas, Spain 13.5% abv
£12.99

An elegant, fresh white wine made by 5th generation wine maker Ruth Chavarri. It's from Rías Baixas in the North West of Spain where cool damp conditions make it a perfect place to grow Albariňo grapes.

The delicate peach and nectarine flavours are balanced by great mineral freshness. Vibrant and fruity, it's great with grilled seafood, sushi, tapas and dips, or simply on its own.

Cabalié Blanc 2018
Vin de France 12% abv
£9.99

A classic Southern French blend. The magical grape mix is Viognier for honeysuckle aroma and soft texture, Muscat for dazzlingly aromatic grapey notes, and Colombard to keep it all crisp and zesty. Bursting with tropical fruit, Cabalié is perfect with fresh seafood or grilled chicken.

Il Papavero Pinot Grigio 2018
Terre Siciliane, Italy 12% abv
£9.99

Pinot Grigio has staged something of a coup in fridge doors and dining tables the world over. Truly outstanding examples like this are rare, however. Il Papavero is a moreish mix of rich pear and citrus flavours and has both ripeness and bracing freshness thanks to the location of the vines. Sunshine and sea breezes are the perfect grape growing conditions for which Sicily has become famous. A delight with white meats or seafood risotto.

Alambrado Malbec Tempranillo (Simon's Wine of the Month)
Mendoza, Argentina 14% abv
Was £12.99 - Now£10.99

Rich & fruity, Alambrado is from Familia Zuccardi, one of the finest cellars in all Argentina. The grapes are grown organically and the resulting wine is suitable for Vegans. It's mouth filling with juicy fruit flavours, hints of spice and a long finish. A great partner to roast lamb, peppered steak or a hearty stew.

Aluado Alicante Bouschet 2018
Vinho Regional Lisboa, Portugal 13% abv
£9.99

Dark almost bright black colour, this is a dense and firm wine. It has rich plum and berry flavours that are dark as well as juicy. Powerful, deep full body and structured, but smooth and velvety. Aluado 2018 is great on its own or served with roast meats (try lamb or pork) or a herby casserole.

Martinez Bujanda Crianza 2016
Rioja, Spain, 13.5% abv
£13.49

Made purely from estate grown fruit and matured in their fine cellars, this beautifully balanced Crianza is from one of the most highly rated bodegas of Rioja. Silky with bright cherry and damson flavours complemented by notes of cedar and spice.      This supple wine can be enjoyed on its own or with roast game, charcuterie or tapas.

Prestige du Capitole 2018
Comté Tolosan, France 13% abv
£9.99

Comté Tolosan is an ancient wine producing region within South West France. This is a tasty Cabernet with lovely depth and fruit power made by American winemaker Nicola McPheeter. It's from a modern cellar close to Gaillac and Toulouse and is a serious, fruit-filled red. It has just the right balance of ripe black fruit and firm tannins to produce a wine with the juicy crunch to partner food.

Particularly good with grilled meats.

The House of Fun 2018
Western Cape, South Africa 14% abv
£9.99

A voluptuous red blend from the Mount Rozier estate in Somerset West overlooking Cape Town's False Bay. This is a fruit-rich red combining spicy Shiraz and silky Malbec, grapes we normally associate with Australia and Argentina. House of Fun shows just how delicious they are grown in Cape sunshine. Smooth and fruity, this wine is a great all rounder and goes well with grilled meats, stews and ripe cheeses.
