La Fonte d'Oro 2017
Puglia, Italy 14% abv
A smooth, concentrated red, packed with black fruit flavour
thanks to some brilliantly creative winemaking. After two weeks'
drying time, the grapes are pressed, extracting a rich,
flavour-packed juice. Six months in oak adds toasty layers of
vanilla and spice. Decant and serve with tender lamb shanks or beef
Redheads Tomahawk Sparkling Red
McLaren Vale, Australia 13.5% abv
This is Redheads at their very best! With lush bramble flavours
and a persistent stream of fine bubbles, this is a great party red,
perfect for any celebration. Treat as you would any good bubbles
and chill well before serving. Try it with meat dishes too like
Chinese style duck or even chocolate dessert.
Citrus & Vine Chenin Blanc 2019
Western Cape, South Africa 12.5% abv
The brilliant, new release Citrus & Vine is from an exciting
family estate with a state of the art cellar. The property lies in
the Breede River Valley - with rich calcareous soils, the region is
renowned for delicious, ripe fruit wines and also for its citrus
orchards. Citrus & Vine, made purely from the South African
speciality white grape Chenin Blanc, exudes lively and intense
guava, lemon and passion fruit notes. Chill down and enjoy this
fresh white on its own or with chicken or spicy Thai curry.
Palacio de Menade 2018
Castilla y León, Spain 13.5% abv
Really good wine is made in amounts too small for the mass
retailers … that's why you'll rarely see a wine we sell on a
supermarket shelf. This easy drinking Spanish white is a perfect
example. If you're a fan of Spanish wines and partial to the
freshness of Sauvignon, you'll surely love this gem from one of
Spain's finest white wine regions, Rueda. What makes it extra
special is the unusual blend of Sauvignon Blanc with local grapes
Verdejo and Viura.
