Fresh is Best
20 March 2019
Almost all beer is best drunk as fresh as possible. That way you
can enjoy the delicate balance between malt and hops before the
negative effects of oxygen, temperature and time start to have
their negative impact.
That's why buying your beer from our shop is so great. We
meticulously look after the beer here on site and can ensure you
that's its super fresh and kept in tip top condition. This applies
to bottled beer as much as the draft 1ltr bottles. Although we give
our bottled beer a best before date of a year, it really is best
drunk as young as possible. The bottled beers we sell in the shop
are weeks old (often only days) opposed to the much older beer you
might get in a supermarket.
When you get your beer home, to keep it tasting as fresh as
possible store it somewhere cool. A beer kept at 20c compared to
10c will age twice as quickly. Most importantly, drink
it! Don't horde bottles of beer. You will enjoy the beer
much more if you drink it in the next couple of weeks rather than
keeping some back until the next release.
