The Mash Inn is set in some of what must be the best views from any pub in the Chilterns. Previously the Three Horseshoes, Nick has reinvented the pub to offer a unique experience whilst you enjoy some local fresh food and drink.

My favourite parts were the interactive kitchen where you can go up and talk to the chefs as they prepare the food. Also the cooking rack, on which the chef cooks the home-grown and locally sourced food over open fire!

I also love the idea that there isn't a menu in the traditional sense, you'll be served an ever changing meal from the fresh produce available at the time. Some of the ingredients may come from their large herb and veg garden too...

This is from their website...

"An 18th-century pub in the tiny postcard-perfect village of Radnage given a new lease of life as a special place where adults can eat, drink and stay over. Innkeeper Nick Mash promises simple, old-fashioned hospitality in the Chilterns countryside, with a fresh, simple approach to serving great British ingredients. A small 1725-built country inn with a huge heart, there are five stylish ensuite bedrooms. Close to Le Manoir Quat' Saisons, The Fat Duck, Hand & Flowers, yet the only establishment like it for miles, the tasting menu will include vegetables plucked from the garden that morning and meats cooked in front of you on a wood-fire oven."

"There isn't a traditional menu - just freshly scribbled notes about the constantly changing local and seasonal ingredients including fresh fruit, herbs and vegetables from the kitchen garden."
